What a beautiful Thanksgiving Day on MDI. The sun is reflecting off of yesterday's snow, the sky is blue, and air is crisp and clear. A perfect day to celebrate with family and friends.
I will make my way to my quilting studio to put a few stitches in a colorful quilt that will go to the MDI hospital and sew some hems on fabric for gift wrap. I am also going to celebrate and feast with friends later in the day. What a wonderful day!
I am grateful for each of my Island Quilting friends who make and create all styles of quilts. I am inspired by the quilts that each of you make! Thank-you for every quilt that you bring to show and tell and share with me each month.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Mary

The day before Thanksgiving 2011
It is one of those sloppy snowy days that makes you want to sit down with your quilting all day. Any Island Quilter out there doing that? After a few Thanksgiving cooking chores I am going to do that.
I am also wondering if anyone was able to see Bobbie Sullivan last Friday night?

Hi Quilting Friends,
Pat Brown brought to my attention an event happening at Schoodic Education and Research Center in Winter Harbor at Acadia National Park on Friday Nov. 18 at 6:30 PM. It is a reception and presentation on Quilt Artist Bobbie Sullivan's quilts. It is open to the public. I looked Bobbie Sullivan up using Google and found beautiful and extraordinary quilts. You can check it out for yourself (http://bobbiesullivan.com/). You might want to go. If you need information about this event you can call Kate at 288-1312.
